How to Book
Community Arts Courses / Workshops Enrolment and Policies
'Courses' refers to both courses and workshop. Prices and a booking form are in the courses brochure available under Workshops and Courses.
A separate, generic booking form is available here:
Concessions
Concessionary prices are available for:
Adult/16+ courses: 1. registered unemployed, 2. over 60, 3. full-time student, 4. LA or academy teacher/TA of U18s (one per school per course/workshop).
U18 children's courses: 5. second sibling on same course.
How to Reserve, Book & Pay
Availability of places may be checked by contacting the Community Arts office. Places can be reserved for one week and must be paid for within that time or the reservation may be released.
To book, please complete a booking form and return it with your payment (in person, by post or by email if bank transfer is ticked). We accept payment as follows:
- cheque (payable to 'Maiden Erlegh School', with course code and your postcode on the reverse)
- cash (in person only)
- bank transfer (tick box on form and we will send details to facilitate this).
Parents of U18s, including Maiden Erlegh students, should sign the consent section of the booking form. U18s will not be allowed to attend a course until a fully completed form for the relevant term/course has been received by Community Arts.
NB: there will not be a trained first aider on site during Community Arts courses.
Reservations and bookings for places are allocated in order of receipt. Confirmations and details of what to bring are sent out by email approximately two weeks before the start date.
We use email for communications so please include yours on your booking form and ensure you put our addresses in your 'safe senders' list:
communityarts@maidenerlegh.wokingham.sch.uk
Refunds and Cancellation
All courses and workshops run subject to reaching minimum bookings.
Bookings once paid will not be refunded unless we cancel a course in which case you will be notified. If your chosen course is full or cancelled, you will be notified and your payment refunded/cheque shredded unless you request to transfer to another, available, course. If after such course full or cancelled notification you wish your cheque returned to you rather than shredded, you must request this and collect your cheque from Reception or provide us with a stamped, self-addressed envelope for the purpose.
Refreshments
Please bring your own refreshments as there are no catering facilities open during courses or workshops except drinks facilities during Creative Arts Adult Summer School and CREATIVE ARTS in MAY. There is a parade of shops nearby.
