Indigo Resource Base
We are pleased to announce that Maiden Erlegh School has been successful in its bid to host a 25-place Resource Base for Secondary School Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, by Wokingham Borough Council.
Subject to stakeholder consultation and approval from the Regional Schools Commissioner, the resource base will open in September 2021 to five Year 7 students, with five more joining the base each year up to a maximum of 25 places.
These students will benefit from a dedicated resource space, therapy room, sensory room and specialist SEND classroom. As well as benefiting from a specialist SEND teacher, they will also spend time, with support, in the mainstream classes.
Consultation
Maiden Erlegh Trust are now consulting stakeholders in order to seek their views on our plans to host a Resource Base at Maiden Erlegh School. We would appreciate your input and feedback.
