Condition Improvement Fund Success
Maiden Erlegh Trust secures £0.5m grant from the DfE to replace roofing at Maiden Erlegh School.
The Trust is pleased to announce that it has been successful in securing around £0.5m in grant funding to replace the remaining aged and deficient roof coverings at Maiden Erlegh School.
The school will have the remainder of its roof covering replaced, with the work due to start in the coming months.
Jonathon Peck, Chief Financial and Operations Officer said: "I am delighted that we have been successful in this round of the Condition Improvement Fund. The fund was heavily oversubscribed so the fact that we have been fully funded for this project is incredibly pleasing. My thanks go to the Estates team and our partners, S2E, for helping us to secure this funding. "
Paul Gibson, Headteacher said: "I am thrilled that Maiden Erlegh School has been awarded this money to improve our roofing and ensure that the school is future proofed in relation to its buildings. These bids are incredibly difficult to be successful in and my thanks go to all those involved in putting it together."
