Afro-Caribbean Society
The Afro-Caribbean Society at Maiden Erlegh School is an inclusive space dedicated to celebrating and exploring the rich and diverse cultures of Africa and the Caribbean. Our society offers a variety of engaging activities, including games, quizzes, videos, formal talks, and dynamic discussions. These activities cover a wide range of cultural and social topics, providing a comprehensive understanding and appreciation of Afro-Caribbean heritage.
Led by passionate Sixth-Form students, our society is open to all year groups, fostering an environment of unity and mutual respect amongst students of different ages. In addition to our cultural events, we are committed to making a positive impact through our charity initiatives. We organise events and fundraisers to support children in the Congo, aiming to improve their access to education and essential resources. Through these efforts, we hope to inspire a spirit of generosity and global responsibility within our school community.
